Community Reps and New Staff Roles

Recommended Posts

Over the past few weeks, the head staff have been working on ways to bridge gaps that we have been seeing in the community as far as staffing and communication. For those gaps, the following three roles are being opened up:

Community Representatives Group
This group will be a nominated and voted on group comprised of 2-3 LEO's, 2-3 EMS's, 2-3 main criminal civilians, and 2-3 main legal civilians. This group will have a private Discord channel where they can air their concerns, the concerns of other community members, discuss new features they and others would like to see, and be polled about changes that Staff would like to make. This group will communicate directly with Admins, Developers, and Community Relations. This group would be upheld to a higher standard of communication, be an example for other's behavior, and have to be currently active playing on the server. Anyone not in compliance with those standards will be removed, and a new person will be nominated and voted in their absence.

Voting has concluded. Representatives are listed below.

Assistant Support
This group will be a staff role that will function on a lower level then our current full Support. They will have no priority queue, no in game powers, no access to NDA information, and not be held to the exclusivity that our Support have access to. Those in this position will also not be eligible for any promotions (into Sr Support, Mod, etc.) unless they apply and go through the approval of a full Support role. Their main duties would include tagging incoming new members and speak with Support cases and notify the correct person higher in the chain. They will be upheld to the same standards of behavior and decorum we expect from all of our Staff members.

You can find the application for this position (HERE)

Guest Developer
This group will be a staff role that will function on a lower level then our current full Developer. They will have no priority queue, no in game powers, and will not be held to the exclusivity that our Developers have access to. Those in this position will also not be eligible for any promotions unless they apply and go through the approval of a full Development role. Their priority will be to complete bug reports and implement community suggestions. They will also be able to work on personal projects at the approval of the Head Developer. This role will be asked to sign an exclusive IP document so the code produced for GTA RP and Revolution's codebase are kept exclusive to Revolution. Unlike a full Developer, this role will not be expected to exclusively code for Revolution - but they will have standards of activity they must keep up on. They will be upheld to the same standards of behavior and decorum we expect from all of our Staff members.

There are two announcements I want to make in this post. Firstly, we have selected a new Community Manager as our last CM has retired. Our new Community Manager is @Vitami Gattington! We believe she is going to be a great fit for the position, and has already hit the ground running with adjustments she wants to make. We will have a community meeting soon, but please allow us some wiggle room as Vitami gets adjusted to the new role.

Secondly, voting for our first group of Community Representatives has concluded, and votes have been counted. If you have been named, you will see adjustments on the forums and discord as communication is opened up. If you are tagged, please refer to the discord channel designated for you for further information (this will open up in the next few days).
